This Riverside Retreat, titled 'The Centipede':

A luxurious, immersive getaway situated along the scenic Nilwala River, at Akuressa.

The design blends modern luxury, natural beauty, and trail blazing innovative technology.

Featuring four guest rooms, a panoramic Living/Dining, pool pavilion, and a state-of-the-art meeting room for company activities.

The project was conceived, as an exercise in sustainable building economics, using technology and innovative design to create a dynamic, yet ecologically sensitive structure, resting lightly in its boulder strewn, sloped jungle terrain. Centered around the river’s bend, enhancing both aesthetic and functional experiences with its seamless integration into the natural landscape. The project's steel Exo-skeleton features 13 twisted steel portals, and connecting triangulated 'skin', creating a dynamic and geometrically sophisticated, yet organic design. This innovative structure integrates seamlessly with the surrounding tea plantation, and jungle environment enhancing the building's aesthetic appeal and contributing to its sustainability, energy efficiency, and the Corporate branding of Nilwala Ceramics.
