Architectural Iconography for Tourism, Culture and Leisure:

A 20 Key, villa boutique hotel development at Kumarakom Lake, Kerala, for Niramaya Resort, Kumarakkom lake, Kochi, Kerala The design explored the relationships of the traditional Kerala house, its iconic roof scape design, and the indigenous landscape of 'God's own country': The house, The village, The water/ lake, and its verdant foliage.

The design focused on a grouping of traditional villas around a created central water body, using the sheet of water to divide, unify, and control. The final built work sadly omitted the artificial lake. The result is a random collection of structures without the cohesiveness of the original design.
